How It Works

There are two parts of our website: Listing A Room and Finding A Room

Listing A Room

To list your room to Room Seekers, visit the List A Room section of the site, where you register and sign-in to the site.

Once signed in, follow the instructions and enter the type of room you have, e.g. single, double etc. and whether you accept single males, single females, or couples, etc.

Enter a short description of your room or property, not forgetting to say how close you are to amenities such as shops, public transport, parks etc.

Upload up to 3 photos of your room or property to show Room Seekers what it looks like.

The cost to list your room is just:

  • £45 for 6 months, or
  • £85 for 12 months.

Take a look at an example here:

Once you get an enquiry from the Room Seeker, you speak to them directly, take a few details and get a feel for them. If you are happy, then go ahead and arrange their visit.

You get paid directly by the Room Seeker we take no commission or payment.

You make the booking and you keep 100% of whatever you charge just as you would as a hotelier.

Find A Room

To find your ideally located room, visit the Find A Room section of the site.

You can browse the listings on the site by choosing a region of the UK on the map, then selecting a town from the region page (or clicking on the map marker for the town and following the link).

Alternatively, search for the town or postcode of where you want to stay. You will then see a list of properties with rooms available in your chosen location.

Each property listing features an embedded map with a marker showing the centre of the postcode. (Note that this doesn’t necessarily pinpoint the location of the actual house in the listing.)

Rooms are listed in order of cost with the cheapest ones appearing first.

Either call the owner directly on one of the supplied numbers, or email them using the contact form, to check availability and arrange your stay with them.

Payment should be made directly to the property owner, just as you would if booking into a hotel or B&B.
